Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1967 Porsche 911S non-sunroof coupe. COA confirms numbers-matching engine, transmission and correct original color of Bahama Yellow. Believed to be a three-owner California and Georgia car. Second owner bought the car in 1986 in California and drove it to Georgia, then put the car into dry storage in the mid-1990s. Current owner acquired the car privately a few years ago and just completed a thorough but sympathetic restoration. Now offered to the public for the first time in 30 years. Concours-quality paint in stunning Bahama Yellow; chrome and trim are original and show minor patina. The car was restored with the goal to preserve as many original features and materials as possible. Complete set of five date-matched 4.5×15 Fuchs beautifully refinished by Al Reed. Interior shows well with dash, gauges, steering wheel, door panels, headliner, rear seats and carpet in very good original condition, showing minor patina but no excessive wear. Front seats reupholstered in leather. Nicely detailed engine compartment looks “like jewelry,” as one Porsche enthusiast friend remarked upon seeing it. Original, numbers-matching 2.0 rebuilt by a well-known master Porsche mechanic in Atlanta running correct Weber 40 IDS carbs restored by Parts Klassik. Rebuilt brakes, new Koni shocks, new Vredstein Sprint Classics. Original 901/02 five-speed gearbox with new clutch and new shifter bushings. Runs and drives beautifully, just as an early S should.
